I have not heard of damage, but I know it can be very uncomfortable.

If they aren’t the day & night ones, yes.

They will get stuck in the top of your eyes and you’ll have to pull them out in the morning.

I’ve slept for just a few hours before and had that happen. Best to take them out.

Yes your eyes can get too dry and wind up causing coroneal abraisions etc

depends on definition of dangerous. I have left mine in several times overnight, but it is not really a good idea. build up on the lens and lack of oxygen to the eye is a danger, but once in a while overnight is not an imminent danger.

Doctors(lens) have reported that in fact it is very dangerous to leave lens in overnight. and the reason for that is when you close your eyes your eye will go one way and the lens will go another wich means theres a pretty good chance of it geting lost somewhere in your eye and then you will have to have surgery.

I wear contact lenses myself and my doctor told me that it should be worn for 8-12 hours only. It should not be worn when one goes to sleep because it could substantially increase the risk for infection and other complications.

Your eyes need oxygen to breath. Extended wear contact lenses are made to wear 2 weeks. But you should give your eyes a “break” at least over night before putting a new pair in. So it’s not dangerous over night….to answer your question, but not over night every night for months and months and months. Which is easy to do since you probably don’t like wearing glasses anyway. But give your eyes a break.
